NSICOP welcomes five new members

Ottawa — Today, the Prime Minister announced the appointment of five new members to the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP), effective June 15, 2021.

The five new members are:

  • Leona Alleslev, M.P.
  • Stéphane Bergeron, M.P.
  • Peter Fragiskatos, M.P.
  • Iqra Khalid, M.P.
  • Rob Morrison, M.P.

The Chair of NSICOP, the Hon. David McGuinty, welcomes the appointment of the new members. “On behalf of all members of the Committee, I extend a warm welcome to all five new members. The Committee will be well served by the diversity of experience they will bring to our deliberations.”

The Chair also thanked Mr. Glen Motz, Mr. Ted Falk, and Ms. Jennifer O’Connell for their significant contributions to the Committee over the past year and a half.
